HTN is the largest industry specific group employer of Apprentice Chefs and hospitality Trainees in the Asia Pacific region, currently employing in excess of 500 young Apprentice Chefs and Hospitality Trainees.
The reason that HTN is the largest employer of Apprentice Chefs in the country is due to the fact that there are exceptional benefits associated with employment within our Network. An annual cooking competition coordinated across NSW, QLD and the ACT featuring cash prizes as well as eligibility for the "HTN Peter Howard Culinary Scholarship" to name a few.
HTN has a variety of communication vehicles including the HTN Quarterly with a circulation of 5,000 per edition - specifically targeting the hospitality industry, a monthly "Pour Print" mailed to all Apprentices and Trainees as well as a fortnightly mail out to our Host Employers.
Most importantly, HTN's team of Field Consultants, visit Apprentice Chefs and Hospitality Trainees on site monthly to ensure that employment and training conditions are to the highest standards and to support their career progression. The system is extremely successful as we have employed and trained in excess of 10,000 Apprentice Chefs to date.
Additionally, HTN pro-actively promotes cooking careers throughout schools and TAFE/CIT campuses in an endeavour to address the skills shortages associated with commercial cookery.
Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA), Krio Krush, Goodman Fielder Food Services, Furitechnics, Futura Training and MAS National recognised that the Apprentice Chefs employed by HTN are indeed tomorrow's executive Chefs and have subsequently sponsored the Network in years gone by.
