Apprenticeships - Commercial Cookery

To qualify as a Chef, you must successfully complete a Commercial Cookery course at TAFE, CIT or with another recognised provider in conjunction with the four years "on the job" training with a Host Employer.

You will study a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (Western) at a college of your choice (or undertake the qualification in the workplace through a recognised provider) and will gain the necessary skills and knowledge required to underpin your Apprenticeship training and development.

Once you have qualified as a professional Cook you are ideally situated to move into other areas such as Hospitality Management with your trade qualifications which will be well recognised throughout industry.
